The Red Door ministry began during the Great Depression era. From its humble beginnings of serving a
simple meal, it has greatly grown over the years to seek to meet the needs of our brothers and sisters in need in the Pittsburgh area.
Currently, the Red Door serves 2 meals a day 6 days a week and 'Sunday Supper' on Sunday afternoon. Lunch usually consists of a snack bag, juice, water, and a sandwich. All our meals and food pantry items are given freely with nothing expected in return. We are 100% reliant on donations to keep our ministry going.
Additionally, we provide clothing, blankets, tents, personal hygiene products, etc. to our friends in need.
The Red Door is blessed enough to be able to offer showers and laundry on a regular basis and we have opened our doors to the world of a food pantry for our friends to utilize anytime they need to.
